Role Overview :
QA (Quality Assurance) Tester is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet quality standards and functional requirements. They work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues before product releases.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, design, and execute test cases for web and mobile applications based on business requirements in Alignment with Agile sprints.
- Develop, maintain, and scale automated test suites for Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
- Conduct API testing and work with development teams to troubleshoot issues in lower environments.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, estimation, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives.
- Ensure test traceability from requirements(RTM) to execution and defect closure using JIRA or similar tools.
- Work closely with developers and product owners to understand feature behavior and perform quality validations.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge in Automation like Selenium for web automation, Appium for mobile testing, Espresso for Android, and XCTest/XCUITest for iOS.
- Skilled in Manual Testing for performing functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and UI validation testing.
- Proficiency in API Testing using Postman, Swagger UI, and working with REST APIs is essential. CI/CD integration tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines etc.
- Knowledge of test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, and Confluence for planning and documentation is a must.
- Experienced in using JIRA for defect tracking and lifecycle management.
